Talus Rock Retreat offers various rooms. The Grand Arbor suite features a 30-foot octagonal copper ceiling, a king bed, a jetted tub for two, and a double-headed tree shower. French doors open to a private deck with Cabinet Mountains views. The Syringa Suite includes a separate ramp entrance, a private wraparound deck, a full kitchen, a living room with a queen futon sofa, and a connecting queen bedroom. Its bathroom features an inlaid sunflower mosaic-tiled shower and matching sink. The Kipling Room, on the top floor, features a Parisian balcony with sliding glass doors that has views of the waterfall, pond, and Cabinet Mountains. Its bathroom includes over 200 Talavera Mexican tiles and a deep jetted tub. The Nooma Bedroom, located on the lower level, has access to the Lower Great Room, which includes a full kitchen, a family room, a movie theater, and a slate fireplace. It features a custom concrete shower, a mini-fridge, a coffee maker, and a microwave. The Serengeti Room features a pop-out loft, a king bed, a kitchenette with a mini-fridge, a coffee maker, and a microwave. Its bathroom includes a hand-hammered copper sink and a deep tub. The Rio Room features a view of the horse arena and lush forest, a lofted area with high ceilings and is styled in nature-inspired decor. The glass tiled bathroom surrounds a deep bathtub and includes a copper dragonfly sink.

The retreat offers a beverage bar with fair trade coffee from Sandpoint roasters, assorted teas from around the globe, and fresh mountain water from Talus Rock Retreat's Artesian well. A hot breakfast upgrade is available upon request for an additional charge.

Talus Rock Retreat offers a range of activities, including an outdoor pool, hot tub, sauna, and fire pits. Guests can explore wooded nature trails, a waterfall, and a bass stocked pond for fly fishing, paddle boats, swimming, and ice skating. There is a sledding hill, board games and DVDs, and a movie theater. The property features a Riddle of the Rock Activity Trail with 27 unique activities. Pets can stay if enrolled in Doggy Daycare for stays longer than two hours unattended. Local attractions include mountain biking trails at Ravenwood Forest (1/4 mile), and hiking trails like Mickinnick Trail (10 minutes), Gold Hill Trail, and Round Lake Trail (20 minutes). Pine Street Woods is a 5-minute drive. Seasonal activities include bird watching, berry and mushroom picking, bungee jumping, and water sports in the spring, summer, and fall, and ice skating, skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, and tubing in the winter.
